Adamstown Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) Planning Scheme 2014
A revised Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme was approved by An Bord Pleanála in December 2014. This decision followed a review of the Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme 2003, which was undertaken in 2013, and a subsequent appeal to An Bord Pleanála.

2020 Amendment to Adamstown Strategic Development Zone Planning Scheme (2014)
A non-material Amendment to the Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme 2014 was approved by An Bord Pleanála on 20th October 2020 (Order Number ABP-306986-20). The information in the link below is being made available as an interim measure, pending the SDZ Planning Scheme and associated environmental reports being updated to reflect the decision of An Bord Pleanála. The revised documents will then be published on this website.
Amendments to Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme 2014
On 26 May 2017, South Dublin County Council, as specified Development Agency, applied to An Bord Pleanála to amend the Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme 2014, in accordance with Section 170A of the Planning & Development Act 2000, as amended.
A decision to approve Amendments 1 - 4 was issued by the Board to South Dublin County Council in September 2017. These amendments arose from the introduction in December 2015 of the "Sustainable Urban Housing: Design Standards for New Apartments Guidelines for Planning Authorities". The application of the policy standards in these Guidelines resulted in inconsistencies within the approved Planning Scheme which required clarification and amendment.
