Since the early 1990s, UNITED coordinates every year, around 21 March, the European-wide Action Week Against Racism. Activists, NGO’s, universities, schools, municipalities and a wide variety of different organisations carry out hundreds of activities all around Europe in order to bring an end to racism, discrimination and intolerance.
To mark European Action Week Against Racism, the Social Inclusion Unit, Community Services Department, South Dublin County Council is hosting a competition that aims to create awareness of racism and celebrate the cultural diversity of people living in South Dublin today.
By entering the competition the South Dublin County Council’s Social Inclusion Unit hopes to create awareness of European Action Week Against Racism and give’s people a platform to discuss what racism means to them. The competition is advertised on South Dublin County Councils website and social media every year.
