Launch of the Eastern-Midlands Draft Regional Waste Management Plan – new region new vision
The Eastern-Midlands Region has launched its Draft Waste Management Plan 2015/2021. The Eastern-Midlands Region encompasses the local authorities: Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, South Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath and Wicklow. The regional plan provides the framework for waste management for the next six years and sets out a range of policies and actions in order to meet the specified mandatory and performance targets.
A period of public consultation will continue from 18th November until the 30th of January 2015. Following the public consultation stage written submissions will be considered and the final regional waste management plans will be published by the end of March 2015
