This Chief Executive’s report relates to the issues raised in submissions and observations received from members of the public, prescribed bodies and other stakeholders following the publication of the Proposed Variation No.3 to the South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028 which comprises the Draft City Edge Strategic Urban Regeneration Framework (SURF). The process of preparing the Variation to the Development Plan has been undertaken pursuant to Section 58 of the Planning and Development Act, 2024 (as amended).
In the interests of engaging with stakeholders to inform the Draft City Edge Strategic Urban Regeneration Framework (SURF), and in accordance with the requirements of S58 of the Planning and Development Act, 2024 (Variation of Development Plan), South Dublin County Council carried out public consultation over a four-week period from 13th April to 12th May 2026 inclusive. Submissions could be made online via the Council’s consultation portal or by post to a dedicated address.
