Variation No. 3: City Edge Strategic Urban Regeneration Framework

Variation No. 3 to the South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028: City Edge Strategic Urban Regeneration Framework (SURF)

Pursuant to Section 58(17) of the Planning and Development Act 2024 (as amended), South Dublin County Council, as the Planning Authority for the County, made Variation No. 3 to the South Dublin County Development Plan 2022–2028 on 12th of October 2026. The Variation takes effect immediately.

The Variation comprises the City Edge Strategic Urban Regeneration Framework (SURF), and has been prepared to implement Policy CS2 of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2022–2028 which seeks ‘to deliver a framework for the regeneration of the City Edge lands….’. The SURF provides statutory guidance for the future planning and development of the part of City Edge within the South Dublin County Council area.
