Parks
Collinstown Park:
The playground has been designed to fit into the parkland landscape and features a wide range of equipment, as well as many natural play elements. The aim is to create an inclusive play space where children can play together, regardless of ability.
The main features of the playground include a large sand play area, swings, a slide, climbing frame, climbing trees, monkey bars, gymnastic bars, a spinning disk, wobble belt, and a double zipline. There are also natural play elements, which are especially important for younger children and encourage as much physical activity as possible. The playground itself is constructed primarily from natural materials.
A dog park is also located here, with accessibility for all visitors. Designated dog park areas, such as this one, allow your dog to play with other dogs in a safe environment. Going to a dog park fosters a more active and social environment for both humans and dogs alike. The positive influence of dog parks on the local community is undeniable.
Our Teenspace programme focuses on meeting specific needs and providing space that teenagers can call their own. This area offers a number of attractive and dynamic spaces for young people to meet with friends and engage in a range of unstructured physical activities. These include multi-use game areas (MUGA), calisthenics, parkour, speaker posts to play music, and informal seating that can be used as places to meet and hang out.
