Welcome to the SDCC Disability Access pages. 

At South Dublin County Council we are committed to equality, inclusion and providing services that are accessible to the whole community. Disabled people can and should expect that all departments have considered varied and multiple access needs when they are planning facilities and information services.

At the Council, we are aware that even when we have done everything possible to make our services accessible, that this alone will not make sure that every disabled person can access our services. So we have a:

Throughout these pages you will find information regarding the many developments and initiatives that contribute to improved access to facilities and services in our county, for example National Accessibility Week, Literacy Action Plan, Access Guide Videos, Jobot’s Access All Areas, JAM Card©, Changing Places and so on. Many of the improvements have taken place due to the implementation of both the Barcelona Declaration and the Disability Act 2005.
