Join Rathfarnham Village Tidy Towns, in partnership with SDCC and IPB Insurance, for two fascinating biodiversity events on Sunday 18th October that will help you explore and appreciate the rich natural heritage of our local parks and waterways.

🐦 Native Irish Bird Walk & Talk 📍 Sean Walsh Memorial Park, Tallaght at 12pm 

Learn about the wide variety of bird species found in our parks and green spaces. Discover how to identify different birds, hear about their habitats and behaviours, and gain a greater appreciation of the feathered visitors that share our local environment.

💧 River Biodiversity Walk & Talk 📍 Dodder Valley Park at 3pm

Explore the hidden biodiversity of the River Dodder and discover the wildlife that depends on healthy rivers. Participants will learn about aquatic habitats and take part in a water quality test to reveal some of the fascinating creatures living beneath the water's surface.

These free community events are suitable for all ages and are a great opportunity to connect with nature, learn something new, and explore local biodiversity with expert guidance.
