South Dublin County Council (SDCC) is calling on everyone who lives, works, studies or spends time in South Dublin to complete its Citizen Survey 2026 by Monday, 19 October 2026.

The short survey gives people an opportunity to share their views on Council services and help shape how those services are delivered and improved. It takes approximately two to five minutes to complete.

The survey will help SDCC understand what is working well, where improvements are needed and what matters most to communities across the county. The feedback will also help the Council assess progress on the commitments in its Corporate Plan 2025-2029.

The survey has been developed in line with SDCC's Equality and Human Rights Framework and supports the Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty. SDCC particularly wants to hear from people who may experience inequality or barriers to participation, so that people from different backgrounds and communities can help shape Council services.

The survey is available in English and Irish and, for the first time, in Polish. Census 2022 recorded 7,605 people in South Dublin speaking Polish at home, making it the most widely spoken language in the county after English and Irish.

An accessible Word version is also available to download and complete offline. Completed hard-copy surveys can be returned to South Dublin County Council by post.

"The people who use local authority services are best placed to tell us what is working well and where we can do better. This survey is a simple but important way for people to influence how our services develop," said Edel Clancy, Director of Community.

"We want to hear from people of all backgrounds across South Dublin, particularly those who may not usually take part in public consultations and we are making the survey as accessible as possible to ensure more people have the opportunity to have their say."

The survey covers topics linked to the seven goals in the Council's Corporate Plan, including climate action, housing, economic development, community wellbeing, culture, accessibility and customer experience. Responses will help SDCC identify where services can be improved.

People who provide their contact details in Section 3 can enter a draw for a chance to win a €200 One4all voucher.
