Overview

BOC Gases Ireland, John F Kennedy Drive Bluebell.

South Dublin County Council, An Garda Síochána, and the Health Service Executive are each required by the Chemicals Act (Control of Major Accident Hazards involving Dangerous Substances) Regulations 2015 (S. I. No. 209 of 2015) to prepare a plan (External Emergency Plan) to deal with effects off-site and to assist, where relevant, with the emergency response on site in the event of a major accident at sites designated as ‘Upper-Tier Seveso Sites’ under the above-mentioned Regulations. The above is such a site. This public consultation is taking place in accordance with Section 16 (6) of S. I. no. 209 of 2015.

 The plan is available for viewing in the following locations:

  • - Dublin Fire Brigade Headquarters, 165-169 Townsend Street, Dublin 2.
  • - Health Service Executive, East Region Emergency Management Office, St Mary’s Hospital Campus, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8

Dates for viewing are from Monday 29th July 2024 to Friday 30th August 2024 inclusive, excluding weekends.

Times for viewing are between 09:30 and 16:30 hrs.

The latest date for receipt of submissions in respect of this plan is Friday 30th August 2024 at 17:00.
