Anti-Litter Poster and Slogan Competition 2026

26 Jun 26

SDCCs Anti-Litter Poster and Slogan 2026 Competition winners were unveiled by Mayor Councillor Pamela Kearns and the Environmental Awareness Team on 25th June 2026. The Anti-Litter competition, designed to promote environmental awareness and highlight the impact of litter on our environment, received a huge amount of entries and the standard of artwork was very high.

Congratulations to the two Anti-Litter Poster and Slogan Category Winners:

🏆Margot Reale Patti, Holy Spirit Senior Primary School student and winner of the Under 9 Category, photographed beside her artwork display on St. Peter’s Road, Walkinstown.

🏆Harriet Donegan, Edmondstown National School student and winner of the Over 9 Category, pictured beside her winning poster in the grounds of Rathfarnham Castle.

This year, the winning Anti-Litter Posters and Slogans are displayed on several SDCC solar-powered, self-compacting 'big belly' bins in the areas adjacent to the wining schools. The winning students were presented with professionally printed copies of their artwork and official SDCC weatherproof signage has been erected in the community of the winning schools. By participating in SDCCs Anti-Litter Campaign you are doing something simple but powerful to help prevent litter, protect our shared spaces and make our communities proud.
