South County Dublin’s Environmental Poster Competition 2022

The Environmental Awareness Competition encourages primary school children to learn about environmental issues and to express themselves through their artwork.

In 2022 we are focussing on an Anti-Litter theme and children are encouraged to get creative and produce a poster and slogan that would engage the public and help spread the anti-litter message.

Litter affects all our lives. It is a common problem that accumulates and results in black spots all over our county, in our beautiful parks and walkways.

With Covid we have seen an increase in healthcare related litter – gloves and masks are now a common sight all over the county. What message would you like to put out, to discourage people from littering?

There are two age related categories

  1. Under 9
  2. Over 9

All you must do is design an A3 poster under the Anti-Litter theme and include a slogan in English and Irish.

The Prize

The winning entry from each category will get their artwork printed professionally and made into signs and posters. The signs will be distributed around the winner’s area to spread the environmental message to the local community for all to see.

The posters will be printed up for the winner’s school to distribute.

We look forward to seeing these posters spreading the message throughout our County.

Please see application form attached.

The deadline for receipt of entries is Friday 11th of March 2022.

All entries must be sent in  PICTURE FORMAT with the entry form filled in to envawareness@sdublincoco.ie
