Purchase your Dog Licence Online
From the 02nd July 2018 annual (€20 fee) and lifetime (€140) Dog Licences can either be purchased online www.licences.ie/ILAS or from any Post Office throughout the country. Annual and lifetime licences cannot be purchased at South Dublin County Council offices from the 02nd July 2018. Free internet access is available at all South Dublin County Council libraries.

For a General Dog Licence – entitling you to keep an unspecified number of dogs (€400 per year) can be purchased directly from the Council. Application form available online
How long will it take to get my Dog Licence?
Annual and lifetime Dog Licences will be issued by An Post and will generally be dispatched within 10 working days from when the payment is made.

What about Refunds
There is no provision in the Control of Dogs legislation for refund of dog licence fee once the transaction is completed.
