Whitechurch Stream Flood Alleviation - Upcoming Traffic Management
25 Jul 24
To continue the defence wall works from St Gatien’s Court to St Enda’s Drive we are required to divert an existing foul sewer adjacent to the entrance of St Gatiens’s Court.
Due to the depth of the existing sewer and as you have seen on the recently erected VMS boards, we unfortunately require a Road Closure to complete these works which we will be installing on Monday August 12th. The closure will be in place for 3 weeks.
This will bring unavoidable restrictions to the area for the duration of the closure and we ask you to please take note of them.
- There will be no through access from the Taylors Lane direction past the Sarah Curran Avenue junction, except for local access.
- Local access will be maintained for residents in Willbrook, St Gatien’s Court and on Whitechurch Road up to the road closure area at St Gatiens Court. Access and egress to and from these areas will be required to be made from the Taylors Lane direction only, as access to these areas will not be available from the Willsbrook Rd direction.
- To accommodate the on-going cladding works at St Gatiens Court, temporary traffic lights will also be installed for a short section between Willbrook at St Gatiens Court, where traffic will be reduced to one way through the lights. This area is highlighted in green on the management plan layout.
- There will be no through access to Taylors Lane or Sarah Curran Avenue for traffic coming from the Willbrook Rd direction and traffic from this direction will be diverted onto St Enda’s Drive.
- There will be no left turn from St Enda’s Drive onto Whitechurch Road except for local access.
We apologise for any inconvenience the works may have caused to date and thank you for your continued patience.
