Council update during Level 3 COVID restrictions for Dublin

The Government has announced that, from 19 September 2020, the entire county of Dublin will be placed on Level 3 under the Plan for Living with COVID-19. This action is based on a review of the current public health advice. You can click here for a useful infographic setting out some of these restrictions.
South Dublin County Council's services will continue during this time as before subject to the clarifications set out below:
- Council offices are closed but are accessible by appointment only – this applies to housing planning and other urgent services requests
- We will continue to receive payments online and by phone – the cash office will be closed to the public
- Libraries will be restricted to click and collect services
- All business meetings will continue to be conducted online as will council committee meetings where possible.
- Our theatres and arts centres are closed for the period.
- The community call help line remains open 1800 240519
- Parks remain open but subject to ongoing social distancing
- Playing Pitches – No matches can take place - outdoor non-contact training is allowed only in pods of up to 15 people with an exemption for professional/elite/inter-county sports/senior club championship.
- Playgrounds remain open
- Scheduled community clean ups can proceed subject to a maximum of 15 people and strict social distancing being observed.
- Creches remain open with protective measures
- Allotments remain open
- Funerals and cemetery attendance are limited to 25 people
- Restaurants continue to have a planning exemption for take away food and outdoor dining for 15 people is allowed
- Gyms/leisure centres/swimming pools open with protective measures, for individual training only.
