Trail improvement works to commence at Hellfire

Hellfire serves as a gateway to the wider leisure and tourism opportunities available in the Dublin Mountains. In a development led by South Dublin County Council and supported by Coillte, trail improvements and associated works will be undertaken. These works will provide for an enhanced trail network, with access to a range of looped walking trails and equestrian routes.

Works are guided by planning permission and best practice. Prior to the commencement of any works, each trail corridor will be inspected by the Project Ecologist and works will be overseen by an Archaeologist.

Temporary trail closures may occur for safety reasons. Such closures shall only be for the minimum time needed to complete the works at that location.

The overall trails upgrade works will be delivered over a c.12-18-month period, commencing on the 9th of January. We appreciate your patience as we deliver lasting improvements for all visitors.
