National Accessibility Week 2021

26 Nov 21

Welcome to National Accessibility Week 2021. The week-long accessibility awareness campaign opens on Monday, 29 November and will coincide with International Day of Disabled Persons which occurs each year on the 3rd December. National Accessibility Week is an important annual opportunity for local authorities to encourage everyone to focus on issues of accessibility for disabled people. Councils, businesses and community groups across the country are using the Week to highlight the accessibility of their facilities and services; and to encourage wider society to also be more inclusive of the varied access needs of disabled people.

South Dublin County Council will be promoting accessibility in various ways throughout the Week. Events and actions include a frame football display match, opening of the new multi-sensory garden in North Clondalkin Library, and a variety of events across South Dublin Libraries.
