SDCC is looking for skilled and motivated professionals to join our Architects Department as an Executive Technician (Architectural). A panel will be formed to fill permanent and temporary vacancies.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, refurbishment and maintenance of buildings and facilities that support local communities. You'll work on a range of projects, from concept and design through to construction and site supervision, helping to deliver high-quality, sustainable public infrastructure.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll develop technical drawings and specifications, support BIM processes, carry out site inspections, and help ensure projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Executive Tree Officer

SDCC is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our Public Realm team as an Executive Tree Officer.

The successful candidate will lead the implementation and delivery of SDCC’s Tree Management Plan 2026-2031, Living with Trees and provide professional expertise on arboriculture, urban forestry and tree-related matters.  

This leadership and specialist role involves managing tree inspection, maintenance and planting programmes, managing staff and contractors, and providing specialist arboriculture expertise across a range of projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will work with elected members, community groups, residents and stakeholders to help shape a greener, more sustainable future.
