Description:
The Rector gives a continuous guided tour of the Church and history of the ancient site which dates back to Celtic times, we have a beautiful Norman tower which unfortunately cannot be accessed. There has been a place of worship on the site since the 8th century. The current church, designed by architect John Semple is almost 200 years old, it replaced the old medieval church. The Rector gives a talk on the history of the Church and grounds including the history of those buried in the graveyard, the renowned artists Evie Hone and Oisin Kelly are among those buried here.
