NOISE Music are delighted to announce that they are launching a free DJ programme called the NOISE Music DJ Collective (NDJC). This programme will run in Tallaght Library every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm commencing January 23rd. The first term will end on Tuesday March 25th with a live DJ event in The Loft in Tallaght Library. The NOISE Music DJ Collective is for young people aged between 14 and 18, and it consists of free weekly workshops delivered by experienced Musician Educators, who are also professional DJs working in the industry.
Participants in the programme will learn how to use industry standard professional DJing equipment to master mixing skills such as beat matching, looping, and adding effects. For young people who already have some experience we will help them to bring their skills and confidence to the next level - introducing them to more advanced techniques and helping them to learn more about careers in the industry. All participants will have opportunities to perform live sets at events run by NOISE Music, create mixes that will be broadcast on local radio and streamed online, and meet industry professionals who will deliver free monthly masterclasses in The Loft in Tallaght Library.
