Between the Red Lines: Bright Burning Things with Lisa Harding

Bright Burning Things with Lisa Harding

“Startling, urgent and intimate, Bright Burning Things is a meticulous portrait of a life unravelling, and of the painstaking, heartbreaking work to put it all back together” – Lisa McInerney

We are delighted to welcome back actress, playwright and author Lisa Harding for a special event to mark her highly anticipated second novel, Bright Burning Things which recounts the story of a one-time actress struggling with addiction and the fear of losing her son.

Lisa Harding is the author of one previous, prize-winning novel, Harvesting, which is set to be made into a movie by Derry Girls director Michael Lennox. Her second novel, Bright Burning Things is due for publication on the 4th of March and has just been optioned for film and is boasting advance endorsements from everybody from Lisa McInerney to Roddy Doyle. Bright Burning Things – about a one-time actress struggling with addiction and the fear of losing her son – is likely to receive similar acclaim..

Harding, our 2019 Red Line Book Festival Writer-in-Residence, and friend of the festival will be in conversation with the festival programmer, Mark Ward.

Between the Red Lines is an initiative of South Dublin Libraries & Arts.
