Horticultural Programme for people with disabilities in Sean Walsh Park Tallaght.
South Dublin County’s Social Inclusion Unit and Parks Department has worked closely with Menni Services in Tallaght (connected to St. John of God) towards the creation of a Sensory Garden in Sean Walsh Park. The clients of Menni Services (Children and Adults with Disabilities mainly from the Tallaght Area) are using the outdoor garden for horticultural therapy and instruction. It is an opportunity for persons with physical and intellectual disabilities, to participate in the creation and upkeep of a visually stimulating garden, grow their own fruit, vegetables and plants.
