Fire Safety Certs
A Fire Safety Certificate is required before commencement of work consisting of new buildings as well as material change of use and most alterations and extensions to which building regulations apply with certain exceptions, which are listed in the third schedule of the Building Control Regulations 1997.
Applications for Fire Safety Certificates can be made to South Dublin County Council for properties located within the Councils administrative area.
The applications are processed by Dublin Fire Brigade which operates under Dublin City Council, therefore all technical questions in relation to Fire Safety Certificates can be referred to Dublin City Fire Brigade at:-
