Adamstown Road Improvement Scheme (R120)
Proposed road improvement measures to extend south from the Railway Bridge at Adamstown for a distance of approximately 1.2 km in the Townlands of Adamstown, Ballymakaily and Grange.
22/6/06 - Informal information meeting including a display of preliminary drawings held in Lucan Sarsfield GAA Club. Closing date for receipt of submissions 4pm Thursday 6/7/06.
Present Position: October 2012 - Notice of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the Adamstown Road (R120) Improvement Scheme has been advertised in the Irish Independent and the Liffey Champion on 16th August 2012. The closing date for receipt of submissions is 12th October 2012.
Part 8 report was presented to the Lucan Area Committee Meeting on 27th November 2012.
At the County Council meeting on 10th December 2012 it was agreed to proceed with the Adamstown Road (R120) Improvement Scheme subject to the following modification:
- Re-alignment of the vehicular access to the former Univar site and northeast towpath in order to avoid the canal millrace.
Namgor Road
The R120 Adamstown Road Improvement Scheme has received funding. This scheme has been tendered and a successful contractor appointed in November 2017. It is envisioned that the works should be completed in the first quarter 2019.
