Roadworks
Roadworks within South Dublin County Council’s administrative area are overseen by the Roadworks Control Unit. All roadworks occurring on the public road must have a road opening licence which can be applied for through the Maproad Road Opening Licence System.
One Dig Policy and T0 Process
In 2025 South Dublin County Council implemented a “One Dig Policy” on our Critical Infrastructure Road Network.
Companies who propose to undertake work of 50m or more in length and/or include construction of an access chamber must apply to South Dublin for permission to install services. Applications should be made a minimum of one year in advance of the works commencing through the submission of a T0 form. SDCC will endeavour to support and accommodate all requests made to us.
