South Dublin County Council Arts Office Announces the Return of South Dublin Live for a Summer of Spectacular Performances

South Dublin County Council Arts Office is delighted to announce the return of South Dublin Live, promising another summer filled with captivating live performance events in outdoor markets, public parks, local festivals, and community gatherings.

South Dublin Live aims to foster the growth of a vibrant performing arts sector within South Dublin County. Through this initiative, the South Dublin County Arts Office ensures that residents have access to high-quality performing arts events right in their local communities, while also nurturing the development of a diverse range of artists and performances.

Last year, South Dublin Live presented 60 live events encompassing music, comedy, theatre, dance, and street spectacles across the County from May to December. This initiative has become a crucial platform for both established and emerging local artists, playing a significant role in the evolution of community festivals, music festivals, Culture Night, and other key cultural dates. It has also been instrumental in bringing life to parks, public spaces, community centres, and arts venues throughout the area.

This year’s programme promises to be even more extensive and exciting, featuring weekly performances at Tymon Markets, Áras Chrónáin’s Seó Beó Festival in Clondalkin village, the Ruaille Buaille Children’s Festival in Lucan, and SDCC Community Department’s Outdoor Cinemas and Live Music events in Tallaght, Firhouse, and Palmerstown, among many others yet to be announced.
