Ballyroan Library Closure

Ballyroan Library will temporarily close for refurbishment from 26th September to 10th October (both dates inclusive).

During the closure, a Pop Up Library will be available outside Ballyroan Library from Monday – Saturday from 9:45am until 4:30pm each day, from Monday 28th September to Saturday 10th October, where you can return any library books, pick up your reserves, and access a limited library service.

The following alternative services will also be available:

• Our Mobile Library Service will be at the Rathfarnham Village Festival from 11:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday 27th September. In addition, the Mobile Library Service provides the following regular weekly stops in the area:

Every Tuesday

• Ballycullen Green, Ballycullen 2:30-3:30pm
• Hunters Walk, Ballycullen 3:45-4:30pm
• Parklands Road, Ballycullen 5:30-6:20pm
• Kilakee Green, Firhouse 6:30-7:30pm

Every Thursday

• Rathfarnham Castle Park 2:30-3:30pm
• Scholarstown Wood, Knocklyon 3:30-4:30pm
• Templeroan Lawn, Knocklyon 5:30 – 6:20pm
• White Pines Meadow, Ballycullen 6:30-7:30pm

Ballyroan Library members can also use any other library in our branch network, and our digital services including eBooks and ePress are always available. Full details are at sdcc.ie/libraries

A second phase of refurbishment will take place from 19th – 23rd October, but the library will remain open during this period, with some minor disruption for patrons.
