Columbarium Wall – Esker Cemetery
In order to provide additional burial facilities SDCC is pleased to announce the installation of a new Columbarium Wall at Esker Cemetery, Lucan.
Centrally located within the cemetery grounds, the Columbarium comprises 100 individual niches arranged across five blocks of 20. The surrounding area has been carefully landscaped and includes a paved walkway and seating, creating a quiet and reflective space where families and visitors may pause and remember their loved ones.
Each niche provides a dignified and permanent resting place for cremated remains and is available for purchase at €1,700 including VAT (13.5%) and the first inscription.
What is Included
The purchase of a niche includes:
- The first interment of ashes
- A standardised memorial plaque with the first inscription
To preserve the uniform and harmonious appearance of the Columbarium Wall, the memorial plaque is standardised in design. Inscriptions are respectfully limited to:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Date of death
Additional charges may apply for:
- Subsequent ash interments (e.g. €310 including VAT)
- Additional inscriptions (e.g. €310 including VAT), subject to available space on the plaque
Niches are allocated at the time of interment only. While Esker Cemetery, Lucan, no longer has new grave spaces available for coffin burials, the Columbarium Wall provides a meaningful alternative for families wishing to commemorate their loved ones at this location.
Interment Times
- Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 4.00pm (excluding public/bank holidays)
