World Day of Remembrance

As part of  World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, South Dublin County Council (SDCC) is hosting it’s first ever ‘All Island / All Ireland World Day of Remembrance service for Road Traffic Victims taking place on Sunday 16th November, 2025.

 

Every year ‘World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims’ provides a platform for road traffic victims and their families to:

  • Remember their loved ones and all the people killed or seriously injured on our roads
  • Acknowledge the crucial work of the emergency services when they arrive upon the scene of a road traffic collision

 

South Dublin County Council are seeking the public’s assistance in commemorating World Day of Remembrance, by asking members of the public to express their interest, if they would like to be part of this event, please visit

Road Safety Officer with South Dublin Coco, Orlaith Maguire said ‘We are delighted to share that this years’ World Day of Remembrance service will be attended by Emergency Services and Choirs from both sides of the Border, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland all coming together as one.
