Wellington Road pedestrian and cycling facilities trial

South Dublin County Council, in collaboration with the National Transport Authority (NTA), are trialling pedestrian and cycling facilities along Wellington Road.

The trial includes segregated cycling facilities which aim to protect cyclists from traffic, thus improving safety and making cycling more appealing for everyone. In addition the two roundabouts have been upgraded to include pedestrian crossing facilities to improve safety.

The trial will be in place for 6 months, until June 2021, and you experiences will help guide the preferred design for the permanent scheme being proposed along Wellington Lane, Wellington Road and Whitehall Road.
