St Aidan’s Community College sporting achievement

What a wonderful celebration of young sporting achievement today. St Aidan’s Community College, Tallaght, celebrated their students who won a fantastic 28 medals at last week School’s Grand Canal Rowing Blitz. Throughout the year the students at St Aidan’s Community College have shown real determination and enthusiasm for the Get going get Rowing Schools programme and the hard work and dedication really paid off.

Funded by South Dublin County Sports Partnership and delivered by Rowing Ireland the Get Going Get Rowing programme looks to bring rowing to local schools and communities around South County Dublin.

Also celebrated on the day was Ava McCabe, 15, who recently won 48kg Irish National Boxing Champion.

Supported by teachers, coaches and of course their Principal Mr Shortall, St Aidan’s has a lot of up-and-coming sporting talent in its midst.
