Launch of Eco Week 2024
Eco Week runs from the 15th – 19th April and is celebrating 20 years this year. It goes from strength to strength each year. It promotes awareness of the environment and is a fantastic opportunity for schools in the County to educate each other on environment/ climate change challenges, and to become part of the solution. All events held during the Eco week are FREE. This year there are over 80 workshops to choose from. These topics range from biodiversity, climate change to our natural peatlands.
Fionnghuala Ryan, Climate Change & Environmental Awareness Officer for South Dublin County Council said
“Eco Week aims to deliver an important message to pupils and teachers in South Dublin County: That everyone can play a role in reducing their impact on the environment & climate, by changing their behavior to live in a more sustainable manner."
