Collinstown Park:
The playground has been designed to fit into the parkland landscape and contains a wide range of equipment as well as many natural play features. The aim is to create an inclusive play space where children can play together regardless of ability. The main features of the playground is the large sand play area, swings, slide, climbing frame, climbing trees, monkey bars, gymnastic bars, spinning disk, wobble belt and a double zipline. There is also natural play elements especially important for younger children and to encourage as much physical activity as possible. The playground itself is constructed of mainly natural materials.
A dog park is also located here with accessibility for all visitors. Designated dog park area’s such as this one, allows your dog to play with other dogs in a safe environment. Going to a dog park fosters a more active and social environment for both humans and dogs alike. The positive influence of dog parks in the local community is undeniable.
Our teenspace programme is focused on meeting specific needs and providing space teenagers can call their own. This area provides a number of attractive and dynamic places for young people to meet with friends and engage in a range of unstructured physical activities. These include multi-use game areas (MUGA), calisthenics, parkour, teqball football tables, speaker posts to play music and informal seating that can be used as places to meet and hang out.
