Killinarden Park
The newly improved Killinarden Park was officially opened on Wednesday the 27th of November, by the Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Cllr. Baby Pereppadan. These improvements included new amenities that looked to enhance the experience that this park provides. Such amenities include a new cycle track, lit walking paths, new play spaces, exercise areas, a skate ramp and a multi-use games area have been provided. A major upgrade of the existing grass pitches has also been undertaken. New improved entrances with associated signage welcoming visitors. The vision for these amenities is to increase interaction with the park and to bring a further sense of community for the local area.
The cycling route and lit walking paths will now offer an ease of permeability for residents and commuters who live nearby to have the option to choose cycling or other active transport options in their daily commutes. These cycle tracks connect onto major commuting roads such as Blessington Road and Kilinarden Way.
