Keepers Lock Welcomes New Residents as a Vibrant Community Takes Shape in Clonburris
Dublin - Oaklee is delighted to welcome new residents to Keepers Lock, a major new housing development in Clonburris, Dublin 22, where families have begun moving into their modern, energy‑efficient homes over the past week. As key‑handover took place, there were smiling faces, excited children, and families proudly posing with their new keys as they stepped across the thresholds of their homes for the first time.
Situated beside the Clondalkin/Fonthill train- station and supported by excellent transport links and local amenities, Keepers Lock has been designed to offer quality, convenience, and connected community living. The development forms part of a planned, multi‑phase delivery of 134 homes supported through the Capital Advance Leasing Facility (CALF) funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage via South Dublin County Council and finance from the Housing Finance Agency (HFA).
Delivered in partnership with Kelland Homes, the scheme includes A‑rated houses and duplexes engineered for sustainable living. BER certifications across the project confirm strong energy performance, with many units achieving A2 ratings, ensuring comfortable, low‑energy homes for residents.

Speaking about the residents receiving their keys at Keepers Lock, Oaklee CEO Sharon Cosgrove said:
“Keepers Lock represents the best of what we aim to deliver - modern, secure, energy‑efficient homes that allow individuals and families to build their future with confidence and pride. It has been truly wonderful to see the joy on residents’ faces this week as they received their keys and began settling into their new community.”
Phased delivery is currently progressing on schedule, with further completions due in Q3 2026 and Q2 2027, marking Keepers Lock as one of the most significant housing schemes advancing in southwest Dublin.
As the first households settled in, the atmosphere across the site was uplifting. Residents expressed joy and excitement, with many taking photos outside their new front doors and meeting future neighbours for the first time. Oaklee staff supporting the move‑ins highlighted the strong sense of optimism on the ground, as families began turning new houses into homes.
Keepers Lock stands as a testament to Oaklee’s commitment to delivering high‑quality housing in partnership with local authorities, funders, and development partners. As more residents arrive over the coming months, the development will continue to grow into a thriving, vibrant community at the heart of Clonburris.
