Irish Landscape Institute Design Awards

South Dublin County Council was recognised for its achievements at the Irish Landscape Institute Design Awards, winning six awards across multiple categories.

These awards celebrate excellence in the design and delivery of landscape projects across the country.

SDCC took home the top prize in the Built Project – Public Parks category for the newly delivered Tandy’s Lane Park and Airlie Park in Adamstown, with Whitestown Stream Park in Tallaght also highly commended.

These projects demonstrate how parks can provide vital facilities for communities, promote healthier lifestyles, support biodiversity, and improve the environment.

The Council also won the Landscape Planning category for its innovative Green Space Factor policy. In the Sustainability category, the Mini Woodland Programme was highly commended for its success in tackling climate change and enhancing biodiversity. The upgrade of Ely Arch and the creation of Ely Arch Park received high commendation under the Heritage Landscapes category, while the N81 Landscape Corridor was recognised in the Linear Landscapes category. 

These awards highlight SDCC’s commitment to creating and maintaining high-quality, sustainable, and community-focused public spaces.
