Native Irish tree walk in Waterstown Park on Friday 14th March at 2.30 – 3.30 as part of National Tree Week. This tree walk will take place along Waterstown Parks Native Irish Tree Trail. It will run through winter tree identification characteristics such as buds, bark and twigs. There will be information on our native tree species, ecology and value. Meeting point will be at the main notice board, beside the large car park.

Q: Is the tree walk open to all ages?
A: Yes, the tree walk is open to all ages, children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult
Q: Are there any health and safety concerns.
A: All attendees are responsible for their own health and safety. The walk will be held on footpaths, grassed areas and parkland terrain. Sensible footwear is advised. The walk will pass close to trees, keep an eye out for twigs and low branches. Bea ware of passing depot traffic and other park users.
Q: Who is giving the talk?
A: Keep an eye out for SDCC staff member and arborist, Eunan O’Donnell. He will be wearing and high viz vest and pointing at trees.
Q:Is this open to community groups only?
A: No, it is open to all including community groups and individuals, feel free to turn up on the day.
