Teen Street Dance Programme
The Teen Street Dance Programme is a vibrant and exciting initiative designed to engage young people in physical activity through the dynamic art of street dance. In partnership with Tallaght Community Arts, Active South Dublin is funding a series of free street dance workshops at community centres across South Dublin County. These workshops provide an opportunity for teenagers to stay active, express themselves, and explore a creative and energetic activity that doesn't require traditional sports skills.
The Teen Street Dance Programme takes place in three local community centres: Adamstown, Quarryvale, and Palmerstown. These workshops are specifically designed for teenagers who may not be interested in traditional sports and are looking for a fun and alternative way to stay active during the summer. Street dance is a fantastic way for young people to get moving, build confidence, and develop coordination, all while having a great time in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Whether you’re already a fan of dance or just looking for something new to try, these free workshops are a perfect opportunity to get involved and meet new friends. The sessions focus on teaching dance routines, improving movement skills, and building a sense of community through music and dance. This programme is all about offering an inclusive, non-competitive space for young people to explore dance, have fun, and stay active during the summer months.
