Box-Up
The Box Up Locker System is an innovative and convenient solution designed to make physical activity more accessible to everyone. Through this system, park users can easily access a range of free sport equipment for up to 3 hours at a time. Simply download the Box-Up app for free, and you’ll be able to unlock equipment from strategically placed lockers in select parks throughout South Dublin County.
Currently, the Box Up system is available in Dodder Valley Park and Beechfield Park—locations chosen for their existing sports facilities. Both parks feature basketball courts, tennis courts, and playing fields, making them ideal spots for the Box-Up lockers to complement the existing physical activity installations. These parks offer a great space for community members to enjoy sports and physical activity, and the Box-Up lockers provide the additional equipment needed to make these activities even more accessible.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that three more locations have been selected for the Box Up system, with plans to launch in 2024 and 2025. This expansion will make it even easier for residents to engage in active lifestyles, no matter where they live in South Dublin County. The Box-Up Locker System is just one way we are making sport and physical activity available to all, promoting a healthier, more active community.
