Go for Life Games

The Go for Life Games have become one of the biggest social sporting events for older adults in Ireland, bringing together teams from every county to enjoy the games of Scidils, Flisk, and Málaí. It’s always a brilliant day filled with physical activity, social connection, and some light-hearted competition.

Here in South Dublin, we run a three-week blitz every year, usually around April or May, inviting all older adults in the county to get involved. From this, the team that will represent South Dublin in the National Games, held in DCU each June, is selected. It’s always a fantastic day out for everyone, both on and off the pitch!

Throughout the year, Active South Dublin offers equipment loans to groups who want to play socially or train for the blitz. We also have funding available for those looking to purchase their own gear. The equipment is compact and easy to store, making it perfect for groups of any size.
