Stepping Stones Forests Report
Stepping Stone Forests has released a report card highlighting their performance since 2021. Stepping Stone Forests are a grassroot movement that is attempting to change tree cover across Dublin. They use the Miyawaki Method. This method creates mini forests that grow ten times faster, have increased biodiversity, regulate temperature and can store more than 30 times more carbon than grass lawns.
In 2024 alone SDCC planted 20,030 plants across seven public parks in collaboration with Stepping Stone Forests and other volunteer groups and individuals.
