Clondalkin Decarbonising Zone
Clondalkin has been identified by SDCC as a Decarbonising Zone (DZ) under Ireland’s National Climate Action Plan. The national Climate Action Plan 2025 defined a DZ as a spatial area identified by the local authority in which a range of climate mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity measures will be identified to address local greenhouse gas emissions. The DZ will focus on targeted, area-based measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient future, below are some key facts on the DZ.
