South Dublin County Council’s Sustainable Drainage Systems explanatory design and evaluation guide was published in February 2022. The complementary Householder's Guide was published in May 2022. Training has been provided to South Dublin County Council staff during March and April 2022. A workshop for developers was presented by McCloy Consultants and South Dublin County Council on 24th May 2022. Taking In Charge Sustainable Drainage Systems documents were also issued in August 2022.

Further to this, based on a hydro-morphological assessment and Flood Risk Assessment, new policies on riparian corridors have been developed in the new County Development Plan 2022-2028.
