Trees can improve water quality and help mitigate flooding. As nature-based solutions, they are the preferred response of South Dublin County Council. It is important we utilise these soft options where possible to alleviate the risk of flooding. 

A Landscaping Plan has been compiled for the Poddle Flood Alleviation Scheme in conjunction with our Public Realm Section and one will be agreed with Public Realm on the Whitechurch Stream Flood Alleviation Scheme if approved.
