The EU's Energy Efficiency Directive, transposed into Irish legislation in S.I. 426 of 2014, mandates large organisations to complete energy audits every four years.

Preliminary Energy Audits have been completed for South Dublin County Council Buildings.

Additional, more detailed Energy Audits for County Hall and Clondalkin Offices are required and this will form the next stage of work.
