Urban woodlands are key to climate action. They also are important habitats, supporting key biodiversity from small microorganisms and beneficial bacteria to fungi to birds to larger mammals, all with native tree species and plants within.

A working group has been established within the Council to develop the urban woodland management strategy and action plan and this action will be ongoing.
