The Smart Dublin programme was established to enable the four Dublin Local Authorities to collaboratively take advantage of some of the big tech trends that are transforming how we live and work. In partnership with Enterprise Ireland, Smart Dublin runs Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) competitions, which challenge smart technology providers, researchers, and citizens to come up with solutions that will provide innovative solutions to societal problems. Developed in association with SBIR and Enterprise Ireland, South Dublin County Council is partnering with Dublin City Council and Smart Dublin on the delivery of Phase 2 of Smart Mobility Hub, centred around shared, greener Council workplace mobility such as e-bikes and electric vehicles. Smart Mobility Hubs are provided by workplaces to their staff for the purpose of work travel and to give staff more flexibility to leave their personal cars at home, thereby reducing carbon emissions. |
