The Council’s forthcoming County Development Plan 2022-2028 is currently being prepared. It will set out the framework to guide future development where a focus will be placed on the places we live, the places we work, and how we interact and move between these places, while protecting our environment. The aim is to progress to a more sustainable development pattern for South Dublin in the immediate and long-term future up to 2040 and beyond. The South Dublin County Development Plan 2022 - 2028 is due to be completed and adopted in the summer of 2022 and climate change is a fundamental theme running throughout the new plan. A number of strategies have been prepared that will support the new development plan - the Green Infrastructure and Open Space Strategy, Strategic Flood Risk Assessments, the Biodiversity Action Plan, a Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Guide, and the Local Authority Electrification of Fleet. |
