South Dublin County Council publishes an annual Energy Review.
The Energy Review highlights the total amount of energy the Council consumed in the past year across electricity, heating, and transport fuels, along with the associated carbon emissions and cost.
This information incorporates the data from the Monitoring and Reporting (M&R) system developed by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), and the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC).
From the review, we can measure our progress towards our energy efficiency (50% improvement) and carbon emissions (51% reduction) targets. The energy review also outlines where the greatest energy-saving potential exists across our significant energy users.
