In order to implement objective QDP14 Objective 3 of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028, South Dublin County Council (SDCC)  is proposing a Variation to the CDP to include a Local Planning Framework (LPF) for Clondalkin as an appendix to the Plan. As part of this process, SDCC invited submissions through the Council’s online portal between the 26th August 2025 and the 29th September 2025.

Once the submission period ended, a Chief Executive’s Report was prepared and submitted to the Councillors for their consideration ahead of a Special Council Meeting on 11 December 2025.

Following the Special Council Meeting on the 11th of December 2025 and having considered the Proposed Variation No. 1 to the County Development Plan 2022-2028: Draft Clondalkin Local Planning Framework and the Chief Executive's Report in respect of submissions/observations received, the Council of the County of South Dublin have resolved, in accordance with Section 13(6) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), that the Draft Clondalkin Local Planning Framework be amended.
