In order to implement objective QDP14 Objective 3 of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028, South Dublin County Council (SDCC)  is proposing a Variation to the CDP to include a Local Planning Framework (LPF) for Clondalkin as an appendix to the Plan. As part of this process, SDCC invited submissions through the Council’s online portal between the 26th August 2025 and the 29th September 2025.

The submission period is now over, and a Chief Executive’s Report has been submitted to the Councillors for their consideration before a Special Council Meeting on 11th December 2025. The Chief Executive’s Report can be found in the ‘Related file(s)’ section below.

 At the meeting on 11th December, the Councillors will decide whether to adopt, amend or reject the proposed Variation to the County Development Plan.  Where Material Amendments are made to the proposed Variation, those material amendments will go out on public display for a period of 4 weeks.
